Ashraf Alkarmi

Ashraf Alkarmi joined Dropbox in November 2024 as General Manager, Core, and was appointed Co-Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board effective May 26, 2026, serving alongside Drew Houston. Per the 8-K, Houston is expected to move into the role of Executive Chairman following a transition period, after which Alkarmi is expected to remain as sole Chief Executive Officer. Prior to Dropbox, he served as Chief Product Officer at Vimeo from 2022 to 2024, held senior product leadership roles at Amazon from 2018 to 2022 and at Meta, and was founder and CEO of PresAsk, an audience engagement platform. He holds a Master of Arts in Management and Operations from Harvard University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan. Effective June 1, 2026, his compensation as co-CEO is an annual base salary of $825,000, eligibility for a cash bonus at an annual performance-based target of 100% of base salary, and restricted stock units valued at $12,656,250 vesting over four years.
