Ashraf Alkarmi joined Dropbox in November 2024 as General Manager, Core, and was appointed Co-Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board effective May 26, 2026, serving alongside Drew Houston. Per the 8-K, Houston is expected to move into the role of Executive Chairman following a transition period, after which Alkarmi is expected to remain as sole Chief Executive Officer. Effective June 1, 2026, his compensation as co-CEO is an annual base salary of $825,000, eligibility for a cash bonus at an annual performance-based target of 100% of base salary, and restricted stock units valued at $12,656,250 vesting over four years.
